New Ears This is not a hunt entry, but I had surgery Thursday Feb 23rd to start with better hearing. The surgery involved drilling a hole on the right side of my skull to insert a screw that after the healing process will hold a sound processor, which in turn will allow me to hear again (hopefully) I have been fairly hard of hearing for over 25 years I have a sever hearing loss in the right ear and moderate loss in the left ear. The Wall
I was up at the property last weekend, The temps had a touch of fall in the air, 60's for highs and it got down to 39 on Saturday night. Frost warnings were out. Sure got my mind going on hunting. it would have been a nice night to sit in a tree stand

I have just 10 acres, but my land butts up to the Price county forest land that is open to hunting, (Holy Cross Grouse management unit) that butts up to the Chequamegon (spelled correctly) national forest. so I can go more then 40 miles on public lands out the back door. It is loaded with hunter walking trails for the grouse hunters and for horse trail riding in the summer. so the walk in to the public land is easy, and some nice land back in the boonies
