Autumns First

Greetings all, i hope everyone is have a great season this year. Mine has been a great success even though i haven't been pulling the trigger. This weekend has to be one of the most exciting and proud momments of my life. My girlfriend and her brother are down and sunday afternoon I decided the easiest thing to do would be that all 3 of us sit on a 40 acre wheat field that bordered my property. I made the calls got permision and we set out. Half way down the field was a point where my CRP comes out into the field. We set up in that point and 1 hour later Autumn drops a 165lb doe nanny at 115 yards.
I don't know who was more excited me or her little brother. Well while all this is going on i tell caleb to check behind us. To do that you acutually have to get up and walk into the field, so he gets up and start to ease out with a gun. I stop him make him take his rifle, he eases out into the field, 75 yards 5pt stand broad side grazing and he lays him out as well. Two deer in 20 min has got to be a personal best for me and i didn't even have to pull the trigger. Now everyone is excited they giving one another high fives and yelling "double trouble" i guess its there new catch phrase. Watching them in all their excitement i finally knew how my dad and granddad felt everytime i pulled the trigger on one. Its an indescribeable feeling of joy and pride.
Well i know they be back next weekend so i've got some work to do this week to get ready for their return. Hope everyone is having as much fun as i am this season. Good luck to you all.
