Good advice jcorwin! Glad you're here because I've not been on a Moose hunt. It does look awesome though! I was up at Snowbird Utah a few weeks back for an archery shoot and saw a couple of huge moose up there...which surprised me. Would love to get after those big boys sometime!
I live in Alaska and get to moose hunt every year so i am familiar with moose and moose hunting. there are different ways to call in bulls. if you want an easy way of learning this then go find a video called calling trophy moose. they will give you an easy way to call in moose. it's a good way to learn. also buy moose manic which is a hunting video done by archers choice. you'll get to see a lot of hunts and learn by listening to live moose. hope it helps and good luck on getting a trophy!
You can make a inexpensive call from a metal coffee can. Drill a hole in bottom of can and put string or leather cord with a knot on the end through it. Bring a bottled water for a drink and to wet string. Pinch string with your thumb and pointer a slide your fingers down string. Short pulls make the quick wop wop sound and a long pull down the string makes the moans. My buddy shot a decent bull like this. Watch the videos recommended or on YouTube so you know what it should sound like.
