 I got the opportunity to gun Pickerel Creek on the opener this year thanks to the good luck of my friend Mike's son Brandt. He drew a opening afternoon youth permit and was kind enough to float me an invite.
A big cold front has been pushing through so we were fairly confident some birds have made there way down. We entered the marsh around 2:15 and the temp was about 65 degs. It was nice arriving at the marsh in the afternoon, we didn't fe Other Field Journals:
