My First Piebald Deer I'm getting this out a little late because I've been so busy lately, but here's how my December 9th hunt went this year. We had been getting rain off and on for a couple days and I thought the deer would be moving when they had a chance once a dry period hit. I had harvested a button buck the day before (Dec. 8th) from one of my favorite tree stands and have repeated on the following day before, so I figured I'd try it again. I hadn't seen muc

Thanks for the welcome. I'm really impressed with PHJ & the caliber of hunters that I've had time to "sneak-a-peak". Looking forward to reading & learning more with you all & enlightening you the way I am with your outdoor exploits!

Its a couple of lots about 5 acres total that's got green space which can never be developed at each end. The deer follow the side of the property that has a small ravine with a creek at the bottom. There is a natural bench half way down the ravine the deer follow and the feeder is at a crossroads on the bench. Mix of hardwoods and honeysuckle and the owner cuts about 1 acre for yard and she sees deer all the time in the yard.

Hey Jon, have you had any more luck out at KH lately?

evilbeliever, 10/26/2008 10:10pm
Hey Jon -

I forgot to say thanks for checking out the site. As you may have seen, we are still working out some of the bugs, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. But we are started down a path that has a lot of potential I think. Good luck this weekend if you get out. If you are over on the East side again keep an eye out for my stand. I am sort of paranoid that it has or will get stolen, but I have not had a free minute to put a new lock on it this week.
